Tonight was our long awaited Brook Hollow Employee Pool Party. Woohoo!
I was ready to brave the heat for some excellent catered Mexican food.
And I was not disappointed, it was fantastic!
It really was a good night. First, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing soo many co-workers with their families. I just love seeing them together and interacting since I often hear stories and have no faces to match them up with.
Second, I photographed several of the families and I hope to present them, soon, with a beautiful image that may remind them of a great night and the many things they can be thankful for.
I like being a photographer. :]
Oh and Melissa Williams and August were my dates tonight. So happy they could join us!
I can’t wait to post the images! But I must retire for the evening.
I will give you a few from today.. I know, I’m so kind. ;]

This is the amazing gazpacho I made this afternoon. -Definitely inspired by Brook Hollow’s stinkin-amazing recipe-
I may have spent close to two hours preparing and taking photos of the process…Randi came out of her room and I was standing on a chair, hovering over the kitchen table snapping away. She thinks I’m crazy, hahaa :] …more to come!
Me and a few of the beautiful ladies at the pool party tonight.
I have to admit, I’m really thankful for the self timer function on my camera :] I just love this one.
Sweet dreams!
This is my dear friend and housemate Chelsea Clark.
I called her one afternoon and explained to her that I was wanting to test out a lens before I made my final decision to purchase it and wondered if she was interested in being my model. She said, “Sure!” and asked, “When?” “In half an hour?” I replied. Haha.. :] She met me at the camera shop and we ran around Dallas all afternoon. We had a blast! I’m so glad she was up for a super spur-of-the-moment adventure with me! And I really like these images we produced.
Enjoy!
Yesterday I dropped by Competitive Camera and was able to invest in a few things. Hooray!
And I concluded that it was a great day to explore the Design District.
There is so much I have yet to discover in Dallas even after living here for almost 5 years.

I was awestruck at the site of the beautiful courtyard just beyond the gate at
“Fine French and English Antiques”

This antique shop is unlike any I have been to.
And I wasn’t surprised to find that one of their clients was commissioned to work with Brook Hollow
on revisions of the club design in the last few years.
I’ll go back and visit before long.

I love photographing food.
And, well, I may have spent the better part of the day photographing everything…including myself 🙂
The light in our backyard was gorgeous and I absolutely had to take advantage!
I was very happy with my first real effort toward making a nice self portrait.
Hymn of the day:
How Marvelous
by Charles Hutchinson – 1905
How marvelous, how wonderful
And my song shall ever be
How marvelous. how wonderful
Is my Savior’s love for me
…
He took my sin and my sorrows
He made them His very own
He bore the burden to Calvary
Where He suffered and died alone
…
How marvelous, how wonderful
Is my Savior’s love for me
